Tambora Enchantment Festival Will be Held April 2016

Bike Tambora participants completed the second stage which ended in District Pidang, Sumbawa, West Nusa Tenggara, on Friday (04/10/2015).

Tambora Enchantment Festival (FPT) 2016 will be present on 11-16 April 2016.

It was established by the Minister of Tourism Arief Yahya in Tambora Enchantment Launching Festival 2016 at the Hall Susilo Soedarman Tourism Ministry Sapta Pesona Building, Jakarta, Monday (01/11/2016).

"After last year's first organized, this time Harian Kompas back helping fellow NTB organizes Tambora Enchantment Festival 2016," Arief said in his speech.

According to Arief, the Ministry of Tourism will help Nusa Tenggara Barat in West Nusa Tenggara tourism marketing in the form of festivals nationwide. One of the festival supported are Tambora Enchantment Festival 2016.

"I hope that Tambora Enchantment Festival can be global," said Arief.

Chief Editor of Kompas, Tanuredjo Budiman said Tambora Enchantment Festival 2016 is a follow up of Tambora Festival last year when President Jokowi Tambora inaugurated as a national park.

"Jokowi ordered two things, how national parks is treated and how Tambora had annual event. This is realized by the Ministry of Tourism," said Budiman.

Hundreds of dancers showing dance Rai Sa Ida in savannas Doro Ncanga, Dompu, West Nusa Tenggara province, when the peak of the 200th anniversary of the eruption of Mount Tambora on Saturday (04/11/2015). The event was attended by President Joko Widodo was also used as a momentum to establish the National Park of Mount Tambora.

Tambora Enchantment Festival 2016 is a collaboration of the Ministry of Tourism, Kompas, and the local government of West Nusa Tenggara. Earlier, last year also organized events to commemorate 200 years of the eruption of Mount Tambora.

The event at the Festival charm of Tambora in 2016 the Tambora Running (Ultra Run 320 km and 100 km, Tambora Ultra 50 km and 25 km), Tambora Bike Event, Tambora Festival, Satonda (Tambora Literary and Film Festival), art exhibitions, and installations art-arch Satonda Art Gallery and Cultural Rite Tamboraman.
